What have previous launch 32GB iPhones retailed in the past w/ no contract?

    Not exactly. As far as I recall, off-contract pricing on AT&T for 32GB iPhone 3GS to iPhone 4 was $699. They were still locked to AT&T though and AT&T had no unlock policy in place with regards to iPhones.

    Kind of off topic, but can you normally preorder on Apple's website for carrier specific phones like Sprint too?

    Lol, more like since the 4S. Well, strictly speaking, I believe the 32GB iPhone 4 (AT&T) was $699 and the 32GB iPhone 4 (Verizon) was $749.

    My 32GB iPhone 5 was $1057 off contract (SIM-free) in the UK.
