Grown old and retired:eek:
I can remember as a teen looking forward to the year 2000 when I would be 47, as just a distant nightmare, without even a hint of hair on top of my head that would mysteriously vanish, a waist that insisted on expanding, a back that would let me down, and a metabolism that went on permanent vacation. Quite the horror story for someone who is healthy. ;) Although I kept my hair through the important years, my younger brother on Mom’s side of the family was balding by 20.

It’s been a good ride, but not sure I would volunteer for another ride in the Earth Simulator. :)

Now as far as what I have done that I never would have believed, buy a $32k car. Hell I can remember when I thought a friend was out of his mind paying $12k for a new Porsche. :D

I never owned an actual car.
Rode a Harley when I got married, went through a couple of station wagons while we had kids, then finished of my more senior years with trucks, mostly for off road recreation and boat hauling.
Now as most of you probably know I'm resigned to this as modus-transport.

Not wanting to live forever. As a kid that’s what I wanted. Today, while not having a death wish when death does come I won’t be filled with argument. (Mary Oliver attribution for that wording.)

Argued for days with strangers on another continent over the most trivial of matters.

Here's one thing I haven't done that I thought I would be doing as an adult: driving a flying car. I was promised a flying car by magazines/books/TV shows (The Jetsons) in my youth. Dagnabbit. I want my flying car.
