When i ordered my iMac i7 was on the 10th. i was promised before christmas. nothing, then before new years eve (doubt it) So why is it taken so long? Was ordered directly from apple, It would be 1 MONTH? Surely that cant be right? should i call them tomorrow?

Those machines have been marked with a 2 week delivery for a bit now (since the problems with cracked displays, DOA etc...), that coupled you purchased it on a saturday and also chose the slowest shipping speed and customized the product...

It's not a month, but about 3 weeks till it's out the door. 2 weeks were the general delay, and the extra 2-4 days were for the customizing (which is true for all customize to order shipments) and those days happened to fall near the holiday.

    Thanks for the reply.

I chose a slower shipping option? I didnt even know i could as it was ordered over the phone.

Thats weird the guy didnt even mention anything about it lol.

So providing the current circumstances. there is really still a possibility it could get send out this week and received next week though?
And also that date that has the 10th, i noticed it keeps changing from the 9th to the 10th lol

Hah, anxiety about a new toy.

Tell me about it. I only ordered on Christmas Eve and am starting to pull my limited hair out already!

But, not much point getting too wound up about it.

He meant you chose standard shipping, as opposed to 2nd day or overnight shipping. Perhaps your shipping location adds to the wait time.

I'll tell you what I am disappointed in...

...the fact that Apple can't seem to ship a computer with a usable display.

Really, the shipping speed is irrelevant if Apple can't fix the displays. Given the fact that even the ones they ARE shipping have problems, I wonder what the displays are like that they are rejecting, thus causing the shortage?

    If they're even rejecting any...

I think they're halting production until LG delivers better screens, and sending out what they have now, even though it IS faulty - probably a recall later to fix the screens. It IS after all, still 2009. After the 1st, we'll hear about it.

I ordered my 27" iMac i7 on the 14th of December and I received it today. It shipped out on the 23rd. There is something wrong with your order, call them... I bought it from Apple and chose free shipping.

PS: It shows on your order that it will ship on May 01 2010? Wow that is not right...

No, the date is just formatted as day / month / year
