Apple and Nintendo?

Maybe Apple and Nintendo should get together to make the successor to the GameCube. After all, Nintendo uses (modified) PowerPCs - right in Apple's market. While we're at it, let's get IBM, ATI, and nVidia involved too.

ATI already does the graphics chipset for the Gamecube, and from what I remember from the specs it is a IBM PowerPC Processor.

Apple and Nintendo

I was just thinking the same thing yesterday, particularly since it appears that Nintendo is rapidly losing marketshare. I'd be happy if Apple just made controllers for the X-Box... Since Apple seems to know how to make things that look nice and work better.

Ok, well the point to this thread was for people to show what they should think the entire components of the system would be. But it turns out that you guys like saying, this would be better, and showing me things that have already been made or are conceptual pictures. Thanks. I see that Mac people have creative ideas. I fit in perfectly.

I would use an RF frequency remote, not bluetooth, I'd like to be at least 30 feet away from the console and the TV so I could use the controller anywhere. I like ATI better than NVidia, so thats why I chose it.

The real problem with wireless controllers is battery life. With Force Feedback, batteries are sucked away rather quickly.

Nintendo has had success with their Wavebird controller, however.

If Apple made a console....

Dual 1.8Ghz G5
1x DVD ROM
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 w/ ADC only
128MB RAM
40GB Quantum Hard Drive
10BaseT
Bluetooth option
Airport option
.5dB noise
No Games whatsoever
