why would they buy an american car company. BMW would be a perfect fit for Apple more reliable and built to last.

And Chevrolet isn't?

Who makes the oldest cars on the road?

Chevy.

I've seen cars from the 50's still riding around when I worked at auto zone!

If Apple continues to rely on its (old) phone business then it will become another one-product company like HP (printer), and Microsoft (Windows).

You do know hp makes computers too right?

And Microsoft makes the surface and the xbox line of games. They also have their 8th gen console coming out this month so yeah...

Obviously they do if they make cell phones, they have to have somewhat of a knowledge of the inner workings. If they were to buy an existing cellular company than they point would be mute. By the way we were talking about this is my college finance class so yeah.
Moot moot moot moot moot moot moot. Not MUTE.

Gotta be one of my biggest grammar pet peeves.

Anyway, carry on with the silliness.

The people in this thread haven't even considered how Apple would offer this service outside of the USA. It may come as a surprise to some, but the USA is not the be all and end all of the world, and it is not the only reason Apple is such a success. The international market as a whole is bigger than the USA market.

It would cost a fortune to set up in the USA, let alone in other countries as well such as the UK, Canada, Australia and parts of Europe. It just won't happen. It would be nice, but it's unrealistic.

Thought I was the only one that noticed that.

A friend of mine started a page called the "grammar police department" on facebook and they find and expose people daily

Doesn't Apple already sell all the phones at retail? It's the phone companies paying Apple the difference when you sign a service contract. Apple would buy T Mobile and give away the service for free? How would that generate income to run T Mobile?

This is what I was thinking. Apple makes the same amount on each phone subsidized or not. How will doing the same thing PLUS giving away service for that product for free be a wise decision?

I must be missing something.

I love when tweeners sitting in mommy and daddy's basement decide apple is awesome and can do anything and better than anyone.

They would get KILLED because they have no history with cell infrastructure. All they do is design products, that's it. Thanks for the comedy relief though.

wow you sound just as naive as OP with that statement. You do know apple had NO history with CELLPHONES prior to the iphone also? Right? And you know they do far more than DESIGN products? They are a big time company. They can acquire other companies, and recruit talent with the best of them.
