Nope sorry, the unlocked French phone only works with French carriers. But if you need help getting an unlocked one in the states, let me know.

And how do you know that?? It works in whole Europe and why would it not work with US GSM carriers??

However, new information suggest that there is a workaround, and reports are Apple might classify the behavior as a bug (in that case it'll be fixed in the future).

ilounge just posted that they confirmed directly with orange that the unlocked iphones they are selling are NOT country-locked...
