I wanna install XP on my MBP
but I am not sure about the following:
    1. Does it drag down OSX' s performance, if XP bootcamp is installed?
2.If XP got virus, does it affect OSX?
3.How much hard drive space does XP bootcamp eat?
4.Can I read OSX's files when I was using XP bootcamp, or the other way round?
5.How fast it is, when boot XP in OSX?
6.Can I shut down the MBP in XP?
7.Can I get back to OSX easily when I was in XP?
8.Do you recommend software like VM fusion/ Parallel etc.?

    Thanks for the answers, guys!

    1. no
    2. might, depends on what type of virus it is
    3. XP pro SP2 needs 1.5G minimum HDD. but needs extra space (1G) to run (VM), so depends on what app you will install on top of it. I would give minimum 5G.
    4. windows doesn't read OSX files, AFAIK, Don't know if it works the other way around
    5. in OSX? you mean virtual machine?
    6. sure
    7. you need to reboot the computer to choose different OS
    8. depends on what you do, at least virtual machines aren't good for games.

    1. Not unless you only leave 5GB for OS X.
    2. Not possible.
    3. Whatever you give it.
    4. You can read/write to NTFS from OS X with MacFUSE. Google it. Windows can't see HFS+ without paid software.
    5. Huh?
    6. Y...es...? Of course.
    7. Yeah, just shut down.
    8. If you need to use an app without rebooting.

You just go to the Bootcamp Utility in OS X and when you open it there should be a button that says something like "remove Boot Camp partition." Click this and it takes less than a minute to delete the partition with Windows on it and give back all the HD space to OS X.
