No more iPad Mini and iPad Air.
Just iPad and iPad pro (larger screen), for consumer and business line.

What do you think?

No No No; I tought that same thing for a long time. Then when it was time to get a new tablet I got the Samsung 12. If bigger it better, 12 is over the top.
I loved having a Big Giant screen but soon found that it was unusable to take out on a daily basis. It was even to bit to use in bed at night. Thus it sat on the coffee table lightly used.

Moved over to the IPAD Air 2 and I take it everywhere, light, portable easy to use. Thats my opinion.

Seems odd to be thinking about an iPad that is larger than an Air 11" and almost as large as an rMBP or Air 13"!

Choices are good. I would love to have a serious Apple tablet with a larger screen. My problem is, I do not believe Apple will allow such a device freedom to do all I want so the laptop and desktops will be around for a long time.

I wouldn't mind an 8.9 ipad. Since we have two Mini 2's in our house I grab one of those before my beloved ipad 3 most of the time (and that's not due to speed). I just seem to like the smaller size better, it's just so convenient. An in between size would be perfect. I played with a 12' Samsung Tab, but that's way too big for my taste. Bring it on!

The thing I wonder about is how Apple and consumers will sort out overlapping sizes. We now have phones almost as big as tablets, and we're about to have tablets bigger than laptops. I am pretty sure that not all of the overlapping products will stay around, and I'm very sure there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth when Cupertino discontinues some of these products.

Isn't the Surface Pro 3 that big?

Yes, and for what it's worth (?), Microsoft is marketing it against laptops, not tablets (which makes sense...).

A guy I ride the train with uses one of those. I used to use Android tablets. If you took away my iPads, I'd buy a Surface, probably a Pro 3. It's not a bad tool.

No. There are many people who love the size of the mini. There are many people who love the full size iPad size. And there are many people wanting a bigger iPad. If Apple keeps the mini and full size iPad and just add a larger one, Apple will sell a **** ton of all of them and everyone will be happy :)

Dunno. Head over to the iPod Touch subforum. There are all kinds of arguments in favor of keeping the Touch and keeping it up to date...we'll see.

As far as i'm concerned - bigger is better. Or to put it another way: go bigger or go home.

As I sit here typing this on my 17" MBP, I can only imagine the possibilities of iPad with a larger screen and a matte antiglare finish. Whether or not it will be a reality is anyone's guess. My iPad Air is great and very intuitive for what I use it for. A larger screen (along with a matte finish) would only enhance my enjoyment and usefulness of it.

LOL @ possibilities of a larger screen

So you can have the same 3x3 folder grid on a 12" iPad and blown up iPhone iOS?

As a musician I need a larger iPad. I don't want to pay 1000 dollars for sonys digital paper option. Im thinking if just getting a Samsung Galaxy tab pro as cheap as possible to wait out apples response. It's for reading music scores. The iPad air is way too small for this. Samsung is not ideal either because of the aspect ratio but it will do for a temporary solution.
