What if you could customize your iPhone.........

Does anyone else get a warm feeling from knowing that your iphone is just as good as your neighbors?
Sure you can have more space and you could have yours apped out but you know you have the fastest iphone.

It's okay I guess. If I maxed it out, it seems doubtful that it'd be the same form factor. Also, the inclusion of the front facing camera would deform the style of the iPhone.

Once you start messing with various combinations of RAM, CPU, etc, it'll make things all too confusing for the buyer, and for the apps in the app store.
Developers might start having to make varied versions of apps to accomodate, or start puttng minimum spec requirements in the info, which will muddy the water even further.

Who give a crap about quality? It's mostly text and it's just a mock up anyways. Here's a hint. How about publishing it in a resolution that is actually useful. It's undreadable in a browser as it's too small when zoomed out and too large when zoomed in.
I find your specs kinda funny. 1920x1080 OLED screen on an iPhone? Half the 15" notebooks out there can't hit that resolution. This level of customization is appropriate for Dell, not Apple.

Not really. 3.1" 1920x800 resolution OLED screen? I think not. Your resolutions aren't even all the same ratio meaning they all couldn't possibly work to fill the same screen. 4 GB of "experimental" Nanoflash memory - uh huh...

Very cool, I personally would not be surprised if Apple started offering that kind of customization in the future iPhone models.
The term "UniBody iPhone" sounds pretty cool and if Apple did actually make one they could make a few different "stencils" so you could easily customize it.

All of the hardware that is specified has been extensively researched, and is all real or in prototype phase. The firmware section though is an outpouring of my dreams.

4G IS NOT WIMAX. IT WOULD NOT BE MADE BY APPLE IF IT HAD A PHYSICAL KEYBOARD. IT WOULD NEVER HAVE A 1920x1080 SCREEN (for two reasons. 1) Apple doesn't sell 16:9 devices. 2)It's a 3.5" screen).
