iChat, all my friends are on it so its what I use. Sometimes pics will come up screwy on it, but its all good.

I have not had the pleasure of problems that some people report in regards to it.

I use Proteus, and I like it better than Adium, although it's not free. I'm just curious, what are some of the reasons why people like Adium better than Proteus? I think both are great apps, but for some reason I just like the feel of Proteus better.

I like AdiumX, since it can make the contact list clear and small and it snaps to the screens corners.

I also like tabbed message window, and to custom the look of it all, including sound, smilies, etc...

Free is also another compelling argument.

From what I can see, it looks like Adium gets updated on a more regular basis to begin with. They both have a fairly similar feature set. And then there's the money issue.
