I've heard that you have to be careful because the MacBook Pro requires a proprietary hard drive due to the motion sensors.

Has anyone here upgraded their internal drives? What is performance like and what drive did you buy?

Struggling to think of anyone who has problems getting any sata drive into a mbp. Heck, they will even swallow a non-standard 12.5mm drive.

Go for a quality drive. Many more knowledgeable than I on this forum recommend WD drives - not sure why, but mine works fine.

Then there is the dark side to consider...
