I’m looking to get two X5680 processors.
Previously I did buy a “matched pair” listing.

I do see deals on singles however.
Are all SLBV5 the same?

its a sale gimmick, i see no complaints about ppl getting non paired cpus

same goes for ram pairing. as long as same model number ur gucci

I do about 2 upgrades a month using X5680's and X5690's, as ilikewhey stated above it is a sales ploy to get extra money. I get these processors from Dell and HP servers and even when I don't use the same matching pair that came from the same server there is no difference in performance. Look around for X5680's at around $45 to $50 and X5690's $75 to $85. These are not hard to find but some sellers charge extra due to the knowledge that Mac Pro owners will pay too much.

Bing translate had no idea what that means.

LOL I think maybe they were using a combination of text-speak (ur as in "you are") and gucci as in the brand name "Gucci", which is considered to be a high-end brand of goods.

Also "gucci" and "good" both start with a "g", and both sound similar in the first part of the word ("gu" and "goo").

So, maybe the correct translation of "ur gucci" is something like "you are good" ???

Perhaps their sub-reference was too subtle and/or too obscure/unknown.

LOL reminds me of the Rocket Mortgage commercials where the guy translates overly-technical/obscure speech for the home buyers. :)
