In trying to install Server Snow Leopard into parallels on my Mac Mini 2012 Late, one of the sets is:

    6. Mount the disk image in a way that allows any changes to be kept in a ‘shadow’ file.

I would like to know what a 'shadow' file is and how do I do this? I'd never heard of a 'shadow' file.

    Thanks,
    Patt

Yes, Weaselboy, it does. In fact, I actually found this article and was going to post it. The interesting thing is, after reading the article, and looking again at the instructions being given, I had misunderstood. The instructions were telling me what the code was going to do, which was to apply a shadow file for me, not that I would have to figure out what a shadow file actually was. I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree, but I am one of the most determined.

    Live and learn!

I appreciate your response, and perhaps others will better understand too.
