True but I can recall the talk then and it was not meant for the "average" consumer, (if they wanted to buy then it's a plus) and they only intended to have so many devices. It was the chatter about the AVP that made it a "consumer" device that eh flopped. I still would like to have one :) and I think Apple accomplished what was intended for the AVP. The success or failure of the AVP was/is not built on consumer satisfaction, yet.

Go back to 2023 and read some of the comments by Apple execs.

If Apple didn't intend for the average consumer, why would Tim Cook show up on Good Morning America with Vision Pro? Did Apple think the all housewives watching the show were likely aerospace engineers? Have you ever seen Jensen Huang or the CEO of Sony go on the show?

"It'll do anything that your Mac or iPhone can do and more!"

It's clear sales flopped and the narrative changed. Of course Tim Cook isn't going to say it's a "flop." We never intended it to be successful or mass market! We only focus on niche products. LOL

I didn't see the show but I would guess to advertise it and have it somewhat out there. The price point means it's not for the average consumer but if they want to buy, it's all good.
I could've been mistaken about Apple's comments and mixed em up with posters comments and replies.

I will strive on to find comments made in the past about the AVP.
