I think that Apple is up to something.
Blacked out store windows; Keynote being streamed via Youtube for the first time; Just One More Thing; By Innovation Only.....Bearing in mind that iPhone 11 and AW are perceived to be minor updates, why would they go to the trouble to make up new windows display and stream the keynote via youtube to a potential larger audience just for a few minor upgrades.
More and more I am convinced that they either have a new piece of hardware to announce or a there is a major change to the iPhone that we know nothing about.

iPhone...now with Android

Apple Glasses? Tile Trackers? AirPods Pro? New 16" MBP? New iPad Pros? New 10.2" iPad? iPhone with Pencil Support?

There is certainly a lot of rumors this year. We could actually see some true innovation. Unless it's just an iPhone XS with a third camera lens.

Tomorrow we will know!

It would be really cool if Apple actually can pull off a surprise, but in today's environment I doubt it could be a big one. I think the store displays and YouTube have more to do with getting additional attention, rather than for what gets that attention.

The biggest surprise I can think of would be announcing a low, low price for the TV subscription service. However, since this has been an iPhone-focused event for many years, I think they're going to maintain a razor-focus on iPhone.

A less-than-exciting iPhone lineup could require more time during the keynote than a model that is obviously a must-buy - it takes more time to focus on a long list of smaller new/upgraded features than a shorter list of killer features.

It could be new tech. Something that they are releasing next year just like the watch back in 2014. Back then, they announced a wearable but said nothing more and the renderers went mad drawing up concepts of what the apple watch might look like. It could be Airpower, AR Glasses...who knows but something is gonna happen

The most _unpredictable_ company in the world? You can guarantee there is something coming tomorrow. To boast the word ‘innovation’ on the invite is very ballsy, 17 hours to go.

If there is one thing that Apple is better at than anyone, it's hype and making everyone talk about what may or may not be coming to the point where everyone has to know and has to buy one.

For those of you who are old enough to remember. The thing that made Dallas the most successful TV show of its time had nothing to do with how good the show was but... who shot JR. And they kept that a huge secret until they wanted everyone to know. And yes, everyone just HAD to know, and had to watch! Great marketing!

Apple is being no different than it always is.
