What is FanControlDaemon? found in startup

i have a 2.2ghz sr blackbook...

i looked in my library -> startupitems -> and i found a folder called FanControlDaemon. the only fan tweaking program i have downloaded is smcfancontrol...is this something that came with the mac? should i delete it? keep it?

The first thing I read before i bought my Mac stated simply, but sternly:

"Never delete anything you are unsure about from your Library folder."

It most likely controls your mobo/processor fans. I'd keep it.

im guessing its the script that controls the fan speed
