It's a big secret and I'm not going to tell you!

Don't know if these order numbers have any significance about sequence. If so, according to your two order numbers, there would have to have been 597M orders between the two minutes between your two orders, and that's just tad over the entire weekend's 2.3M estimates by KGI Securities.

Not sure what the numbers mean but it doesn't have to do with when the order was placed because the order I placed later has lower numbers up front then the order I placed earlier

Don't think the order number is of any significance...

Ordered a Time Capsule on March 25th... Order # W5356...

Ordered a Space Grey Apple Watch on April 10th... Order # W5058...

I have two orders, first one for a 42mm ordered a few mins before the other for a 38mm.
W5438 Delivers: 24/4-8/5
W5320 Delivers: 25/05/2015 - 05/06/2015

I don't think there's much logic to the order numbers.

Maybe the first digits refer to the model of watch? So, all sports models with white bands start with the same 2 digits and so on? Just a thought!:)

Nope , Mine has same 5 on first digit with both model.
I think , 5 mean VIP customer :)

I wouldn't use the order numbers are being particularly helpful in determining order sequence.

I ordered the Classic buckle in 42 at pre-order launch, and then about 18 hours later the 38 as I was worried 42 was too big. Both dates, remarkably, are for those first 2 weeks (Clearly the 38 classic wasn't that popular). Anyway, my point it that the second order i made has a LOWER number than the one i made the day before.

I reckon they're in batches by SKU
