Just a couple of minutes ago, I was browsing around the forum and clicked on these two threads:
TV links on iPhone - watch stuff online
How is it Possible??the build week!!!!!!

Can someone please tell me why both of the threads turn into an argument? I mean come on people, the OP just wants an answer. They probably don't care which way this answer comes, they just want one.

It's not just these two threads, there's others, but I happened to click on them at the same time, and read people arguing back and forth about who's right, and why that last post was ridiculous.

With all due respect to MR and it's community, this site seems to be degrading. It might just be shear luck that I stumbled upon these two threads today, but people, seriously, why?

Those two threads do seem like the nuclear nature of the response was slightly out of keeping of the level of retardery present in the original post, I have to admit. I don't know that they're representative of MR, though. Usually either the retardery is much greater, and there are lolcats involved, or else the civility level is higher.

This is such a stupid thread. Why did you even bother to post it?? Geez, how dumb!

;) :D

I agree, there are a lot of threads with a lot of negative comments. I don't know why people bother posting like that, its just a waste of their time and offers nothing productive to the site.

The moderators would have removed some of those rude posts if they had been reported, but if the posts were removed now that would make this thread a bit confusing.
