Although most people on here are telling me to avoid using my Safari 5.1.10 on SL because of security issues, it never made my fan go berserk or utilised so much CPU as Google Chrome does. Is this normal and what can stop it hogging resources? And do I need Google Chrome Helper? And why are there THREE Chrome Helpers in the CPU list

@Peter Franks Google Chrome Helper is basically plug ins that load on the page. There are various plugins that all get their own helper. You may find Firefox to be more acceptable in terms of system resource usage.

Hi Peter,
Google chrome helper is not a complex application, but it is a simple plugins that loads the webpages. It consumes a lot of CPU resources. I suggest you to try Firefox over safari and chrome browser.
