What happen to my two threads why where they deleted from new messages?

I made two threads here. I can’t find them now. They show in my profile but when I check on the bell it not showing there with new messages.

The two message I made are….

How do I recover deleted photos on the iPad?

I have corrupted system update?

I normally check bell on top right when I get new messages but the bell is not working it not showing any thing.
Yeah, that is weird. New alerts notifications should take you right to the associated thread. I would cancel and go back into MacRumors.

You were the last one to post in both threads you listed. There were no other replies since Monday (system update) and Tuesday (photos).

When you visited each thread to post there, it reset the alert indicator for that thread, so only replies that came in after your posts would produce an alert. Since there haven't been any replies, there won't be any alerts.

The Alerts indicator will only show for new replies, or new reactions, or new whatever thing you've chosen to get Alerts for. If you want to see past alerts, click the "Show all" link that appears at the bottom of the Alerts drop-down. I've pasted the link here:

The list of past alerts is limited. I think it holds around a week's worth of past ones before they start disappearing. It will keep a very large number of unread alerts, I think at least 1000.

Yes I’m not getting any notifications to my posts now. I have to search for my posts to see if anyone is replying to my posts.

Is some one going to fix the bell because it is not working.
This reply contains a series of tests for the Alerts "bell" icon at upper right.

I've included a quote of your most recent post here.
I'm also including a mention here: @Bubble99
Did you receive an Alert for each of these?

Please make sure you've read post #6 I wrote above.
To confirm you've read it, please add a Like reaction to that post.
If you have questions about anything I wrote there, you can reply in this thread.

Please check that your Account Preferences are correctly set to receive Alerts.
Use this link to see them:
Your Alert checkboxes should look like this:

The Alert checkbox MUST be checked, and you must click "Save" at the bottom of the Preferences page to save any changes.

I looked at your past posts starting here:

This is the "Postings" tab on your public Profile page, where you or anyone else can see your past posts, listed from newer to older. The "See more" button at bottom right will show a more extensive list, which can be paged through to review as many past posts as desired.

When I checked each of your past posts from Jan 20, 2026 and later, I saw that none of them had a reaction. If there's no reaction, then you won't see an Alert for a reaction.

I also saw that almost no one had quoted any of your posts in a reply. This means there won't be an Alert for a quote. One reply with a quote is here:

As I noted in post #6, the other threads you mentioned have no replies. Your posts are the last ones in both threads. If there are no replies, then even a Watched thread will not trigger an Alert. If there are replies but they don't quote one of your posts, then there won't be an Alert for a quote.

To summarize what I've seen from the things I checked, the reason you aren't seeing Alerts for quoted posts or reactions is simply that no one has quoted or reacted to your posts.
