what is home and lockscreen usage ?

What is home and lockscreen usage under battery usage for iphone 6 ? It's taking up a significant percentage of battery , is it just browsing apps on the home screen ? Anyway to make it use less battery ?

That's exactly what it is. I assume people spend more time there than they realize. I guess maybe one way to reduce battery usage there might be disabling parallax?

Not to mention all those useless notifications that wake up the screen. I really like that Apple finally gave us the tools to really monitor this stuff. Now maybe at least some people will consider changing a few habits before they complain about how the iPhone has poor battery life.
