What is Microsoft Office X?

I went to use the Office Removal tool for Mac Office 2004 and it asked me if I wanted to remove Microsoft Office X as well as Microsoft Office 2004. What is Microsoft Office X and should I remove it?

I have Leopard by the way if that is useful info.

Office X was the first OS X version of Office. You probably have a plugin or preference file that some other app has installed for compatibility with Office X, and it's never harmed my system to remove them.

Office X is the version of office before 2004. Dont worry about checking it, it's not installed.
