I am looking to sell my Macbook Pro, I don't use it all that much and cash would be cool.

I went on to a couple of sites such as ( http://www.mac2sell.net ) and
    ( https://www.gazelle.com )

I got some ridiculously low values of about $230 to $200 which seems way to low to be true and depressing.

I'm 99% sure that this is my machine...

I purchased it either late 2009 or early 2010.

Can someone help me out with appraising this, the idea that this thing is only worth around $200 dollars is insane.

As a starting point, you can check Mac2Sell, eBay (including completed sales), and Amazon for prices of similar models, to get an idea of what a reasonable price may be. Then adjust the price to account for condition, configuration, remaining AppleCare coverage (if any), etc. You can also check the Apple refurbished store to see what similar models are selling for.

$200 isn't really insane for a 5+ year old laptop, when the prices quoted take into account they have to resell it, so they're essentially quoting wholesale. 5 Years is generally past end of life for consumer electronics due to the technology curve.
Plug in a 5 YO Dell or HP and see if you can get any offer other than $0.

Best suggestion I can make is search Craigslist in your area and see what they're going for and sell it yourself. Selling it yourself is the only way you're getting more than wholesale for it.
