Hi Everyone,
I jsut bought a Mac Mini and installed this temperature monitor software and it says that my Mac Mini is running anywhere from 134 to 140 F is this normal? What are some of your temperatures on yours? I know the case is small and not much air can get in there but that seems a bit hot to me.

I just got the 2.53GHz C2D Late 2009 model. when I do iMovie, it hovers around the ~75C mark. I used Handbrake to convert a video and it went beyond the 80C mark. The fans kept to 1700rpm.

I think that sounds like a normal range.

There is another recently POST

My Mini CPU read about 50℃ when idle/internet. My room temp is about 23-25℃.

Don't know why I see other has really low temp on their Mini. I guess it's kinda normal then.

That temp is normal OP, yes. I always suggest installing Fan Control to speed up your fans and extend the life of your components.

Apple sets the mac mini fans at 1500 RPM default, which will keep your machine around 50-60 C...which isn't really harmful, per se, but by putting the fans up to 3500 RPM (which won't hurt your fans, they're designed to last long...at 3500 RPM the fans in the machine should run for 5-6 years, and it's the cheapest component to replace) you will keep your machine around 30-40 C, which is a much healthier range.
