What is rebuilding spotlight?

    I saw this option in Onyx, why do we need to rebuild?

    Sometimes things get screwed up and you might find your searches returning zero results or just not pulling up certain files you know if should be finding. Rebuilding the Spotlight index manually forces it to go back and rescan everything to build a proper index.
