What is "Recovered Files"???

Whenever I turned on my MBP then to desktop I noticed there is Recovered Files in the Trash bin. I don't know what this is for???

Hope you can help deaf MBP owner understand better.

Just found this: If the Trash contains folders of recovered files using mac os x "recovered files" as search terms. Can that help?
