I might have missed something, but what is Santa Rosa, how do you know if you have a Santa Rosa based laptop?

Here's a Wiki article that answered all the questions that I had a few months ago.

What's important to you about SR really depends on the type of consumer you are. If you don't do a lot of heavy stuff and don't plan on keeping the laptop for more than two years or so, then a macbook pro (which is currently Apple's only SR laptop) would be too much for you. Buying the lower powered (but still very capable) macbook would be better for you.

The latest revision to the MacBook Pro line of laptops (2.2GHz & 2.4GHz) contain the new "Santa Rosa" features.
