When I check or uncheck this option on MacBook Air 2019 that’s not different. That’s not happening like sound or something. Any one tell me?

When they introduced the Force Touch trackpad there was no more mechanical movement or click anymore, so they added an option to make it software-based audio noise that sounds like a click when pressed. You should be able to hear a subtle click noise when its off, and nothing when on.

Thank for answering! But there is no subtle click noise when its off. Does my MBA meet a problem?

Set click on firm and toggle the silent check box, still will click but the tone is different, but not silent.
I did what you said but there’s still no tone. I was just wondering if I reinstall my macOS.
