What is the Apple Mouse?

On the desktop Macs' configuration you can choose the Magic Mouse or Apple Mouse. What is the Apple Mouse? Is it just the Mighty Mouse?

Yes, it is exactly the same as the Wired Mighty Mouse. Apple had to rename it due to licensing issues with the term "Mighty Mouse."

It's the wired mighty mouse. Apple lost a lawsuit over the name "Mighty Mouse".

Until (if?) Apple replaces a wired Magic Mouse, your only other choice is a third party wired mouse.
