Or is it the Apple of the tree of knowledge?

Seeing as there's a bite in the apple, i'm inclined to go with the biblical idea.

That blog states that "Apple is probably the only company not to use its name in its logo." Yet, in the link to the same site about the Nike (or McDonalds) logo, it shows it doesn't have it's name either. Poor research skills.
