anyone know the cure time on BSE? I left my under the ceiling fan for about 36 hours and it seems done but still paranoid i should wait a little longer.

Overnight minimum before handling, be gentle the first day. After two days you should be golden.

we suggest that you let the Skin set up for 24 hours before turning on the device. The Skin material is "gas permeable". As such, the look of your Skin will improve over the next 24-48 hours as the solution and micro bubbles evaporate and the adhesive sets up.

Zagg product may cost more up front, but you get what you pay for... I have used Zagg invisishield products on more than eight iphones and five ipads over the past four years and it truly is a superior product... never discolors, comes off, or bubbles....easy to remove when reselling phone/ipad and screen and back are like new....

@falconman515: they're nice, and also different from using a skin. Fractions of a millimeter vs over a millimeter, virtually no weight vs an ounce or two, no real dent protecting vs a little bit of dent protecting, etc.

You might cruise the iPad accessories forum too, there are threads on stuff like the Incipio smart feather with pics and such.

@jamaggic: you've used BSE then so you can compare? I've used nth over the past eight years or so and the differences I've seen are the zagg cost nearly double for no performance improvement. Just what I've seen myself. Perhaps you've had different personal experience with BestSkinsEver?

That Incipio Smart Feather case looks nice too! Wish they a clear though.

I think this kind if snap on case for the back in clear so its kinda doesnt look like anything is on their i think is the ticket for me!

I've had them all or at least it seems that way. :D

My favorite skin is the matte finish when it comes to a skin on an aluminum surface. In the past I've gone with Wrapsol, but theyre a little pricey. This time around I picked up a matte Phantom Skin. It's a wet install, but went on easily and looks great.

Ghost Armor

It's become part of my iOS routine to take the new device eighteen feet out of the apple store to the ghost armor kiosk right in front of it.

Pricey, yes, but my local guys have yet to disappoint me. They have the new kits for the new iPad, and it looks flawless, front and back. The lifetime guarantee is nice, too.

BSE is good, I've used them for years. Had one on my ipad2 and it lasted well.

Applying the back isn't rocket science, don't pay double for someone else to do it.

I just ordered a clear skin (back only) from BodyGuardz. I'm kind of worried and I'm thinking of cancelling my order after watching their installation video, I don't think I'll be able to install it alone as it looks really hard to do, but I really need a clear skin protector for the back and I've searched everywhere but it seems that all are water based so I decided to go ahead and order one. Anyway, how do you keep the liquid away from ports and speaker holes? Plus, I would like to know if it's hard to install and if a water based installation is worth it.

Our front/back Wrapsol Ultra arrived yesterday. Put it on so I'm golden now. :)

My wife dropped our new iPad last week less than three days into ownership on our ceramic tile floor.:rolleyes: I swear it was the Wrapsol that kept the screen from breaking completely. Instead there were two cracks in the bottom left and top right corners...which kept it useable until I was able to make it to an Apple Store. Oh, and thank god for Applecare+. :D

+1.

After using 4-5 different brands of shields, I always end up going back to Zagg.

There's a reason they are available EVERYWHERE.

I've used Zagg up until my last 2 iPads and they're the same compared to BSE, but Zagg costs twice as much. I never had yellowing, peeling or installation problems with either.

However, one thing I always liked about Zagg is how they'd let me send my old skin back for a free replacement. There is value in that as BSE only gives a 30 day guarantee.

The reason I chose to use BSE for my last two devices is because I hardly ever had to use a replacement skin so paying double for a Zagg skin wasn't worth it to me. Might be different for others.

Mass availability doesn't mean something's better than the alternatives. Every gas station has Keystone Light in the cooler. Few have any craft/microbrews. Does this mean Keystone Light is the better beer? :D

Wow logic fail....GM is everywhere too....does not mean they are quality...zagg is junk as the gen public does not know any better...try ghost armor ....

The bestskinever is water based?

I dont want to use anything water based at all. Thats why I always use Power Support for my protectors but they don;t make one for the back.

Is there any other option out there thats good but not is a water based application?

I don't understand the aversion to wet application. I guess if you've never tried it sounds scary, but I've applied so many different protectors to my devices and use application gels that it doesn't bother me at all. I have never had an issue with water damage or anything like that. It's really no big deal.
