I just bought an iPod Touch while in Vegas, and in some mall I saw a kiosk that was selling these things called Gizmobies, which is kind of like protective, padded sticker for your iPod or iPhone. It doesn't cover the screen, but combine a Gizmobie with crystal film protection your iPhone should be pretty scratch proof.

It's a fairly new company I think, so their website isn't exactly great or updated that they sell these stickers for iPhones and Touches http://www.gizmobies.com/ but perhaps you can e-mail them and ask if they sell them in your area. The "sticker" (which is quite removable without leaving any sticky residue on your iPhone/iPod) also "sticks" to certain surfaces. And since it's kind of padded, your screen will no longer touch the surface when you leave it on the table screen down. (Again, put crystal film over the screen before you put the Gizmobies on)

Anyway, I think mine are awesome, and it makes my iPod look different, as well as it matches my headphones quite nicely :c)

The new Radiohead is really really good.

I've purchased the MarWare (rubberized case)...

for $15.00, included was the static-cling screen protector that is very easy to keep clean. It also comes with a micro-fiber cleaning cloth. MarWare provides a non-slip grip on the iPhone so the iPhone stays put when you set it down. I take the MarWare off each night and give my iPhone a good rub-down before it goes into the charger. I looked at the Belkin (Black) Case and it had the holding area for the headphones, which was pretty nice, but I decided on the MarWare due to the amount of protection it appears to provide my iPhone in case I drop it. Which has happened once already, but it landed on the side and I never heard the iPhone hit the ground, though the MarWare cushioned the fall I still checked everything out to make sure it was "good to go!"

It looks like it covers the camera in that photo.

As mentioned, I have an iPod Touch, but they made the exact thing for iPhones as well, which I would assume have a hole in it where the camera is. They made room for the menu button in front, so they should be able to make a similar hole for the camera in the back for iPhone stickers.

Not sure I would call it "the best", but Speck now makes a ToughSkin for the iPhone. I had them for both my 1st and 2nd generation Nanos and they were great. Protected them very well. Add the Power Support Crystal Film, and you should be very well-protected against drops.

not so sure how the invisible shields are on the iphone but I have them on my macbook and can imagine that they would look good on an iphone also.

radioshack has a line called "Accurian"
and they have a new ribbed durable silicon skin that is kind of a knock off of the Speck Tough Skin

$19.99

no pics online yet but i just got mine today and i like it. we'll see how it holds up after a few months. it fits nicely, doesn't feel loose at all. the area around the screen is slightly raised and this sort of frames the screen, on the inside of the skin that same area grabs the bezel of the iPhone, so it seems more form fitting than other low cost skins. theres a cutout for everything, including the small ambient light and face/phone sensors above the earpiece. and its an independent cutout to the earpiece cutout, unlike the speck brand tough skin which just uses a large cutout for everything up there.

most of all i like how the ribbed surface gives me a little more grip for typing emails and using the safari keyboard in vertical orientation.

i have a screen protector from www.bestskinever.com coming in the mail, and then along with this Accurian Tough Skin, i'll be all set. :)

ive got a silicone case off ebay its dead good and doesnt slip out ofmy work pants like my w950i does :D and a universal screen protector has done WONDERS! ;)

Best is...

I just got a Everskins skin from everskins.com. I think it's pretty awesome. Same protection as the more expensive invisible shield, but less "orange peel" effect. Doesn't provide the same protection as a case, but then a case doesn't protect the screen from a pocket full of keys either. I also like that they use real minimal packaging. Good luck.

Hopefully the OP was able to find a case that suited them in the 5 years since they posted the question.

Best skin - Domeskin

I've used both and truthfully I feel bad you got this a gizboboie. I got a Domeskin from their site and it was MUCH better. Just the quality, designs, and idk, it was reusable. for 20 bucks the gizmobies is a rip, Domeskin was worth it tho I still use the camera skin for my iPhone 4/S and will update to the Domeskin for iPhone 5 too.
