honestly I think getting accepted into my high school (it was a pretty tough private school, I'm in college now). Maybe it's just nostalgia talking, but I get the feeling that place provided me with some of the best times and people of my life.

moving to san diego (no longer living there). prior to that, i thought cali was just a vacation spot for snobs and low in morality and the typical cali stereotypes as seen in the movies. some of my best friends live there their whole lives and i realize that cali isn't what they say in mtv and the such. there is morality in cali, and i hope to go back there in the spring to see my old friends, as i haven't been there in nearly four years.

cali was where i finally got true friends after having so many enemies my whole life. i also learned to love the braves and baseball there. if i moved to atlanta which we nearly did, i doubt i would be the person i am today.

i had complications from a tonsillectomy last year, resulting in acute respiratory distress syndrome (ards), pneumonia and a bunch of other things. the best thing to happen to me? surviving.

Aside from the usual wife/kids thing, hmmm, let me think.....

Ok, this isnt the greatest thing but it was pretty cool when it happened. Many years ago I went to the grocery store and had a TON of stuff, almost 2 carts full of food I guess.

When it was rung up it came to $187.xx (yes, I remember this down to the dollar amount :D ) I hand the girl my credit card and she swipes it, hands it back to me, then a second later hands me the receipt. I said "I dont have to sign anything?" and she said no. I thought that was odd but I didnt question it further.

So we leave and get home and get things put away. I happened to pull the reciept back out and look at it and at the bottom it said "cash", as in Id paid with cash.

Once my credit card statement came a few weeks later it was apparent that the cashier screwed up. All that stuff was free. Too bad I didnt have alot more in my cart that night

Well recently that would have to be getting cleared out off the hospital.I went to the emergency rooom for chest pains that i didn't want to full around with. Then i got kept there for a while. Then i got admitted, and machines hooked up on me and so i had to strip and stay the night. My GF slept "head on bed" next to me, (so she is def. one of the best things too). The next day, i was ready to go home as my heart beat was perfect and i wanted a bath, they told me i had to wait.

I ended up spending the day there, my gf never left my side for the whole time. Then after asecond blood sample, the intern told me i should get ready to leave cause i am fine ( i still have to pick up my tyroid results). That was the best thing i could hear.

So there are two of those, the girl sleeping next to me and getting cleared

Waking up today ..

... in a big 300 year old granite house, surrounded by oaks, my girlfriend of 9 years tootling around, my 3 cats that we've saved from starvation, one had also been shot by hunters (they were feral) are now all glossy and snoozy in front of the wood stove, there's firewood in the outbuilding, my Mac is working, my 17 year old Volvo estate is covered in snow but I know she'll start first time in an hour when I have to go out. It's allright being me at the moment.

Hmmmm, so far, passing my driving test.

I don't know if winning the Champions League Final and my hero Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scoring the winner counts as something happening to me, but its a close second.

If you're referring to the Final Manchester vs Bayern, then I don't like you anymore :p 2 Goals in three minutes (in overtime) to win is just wrong... Of course, had it been the other way around I would still be jumping for joy :D
