What is the capped maximum speed of SMB?

Hi, I think somebody mentioned that Apple capped the maximum speed of SMB file transfer between Mac and Windows PC. Anybody knows what the capped speed limit is?
 
It all depends on the speed of your network, wi-fi too! Why do think why people are moving to the 10G network?
