What is the difference between Alfred and Spotlight?

Hello!

I was just testing Alfred and i can't find anything that it does considorably better than Spotlight. What features does it do that Spotlight don't do? I have seen many people applaud it, but i can't see any difference in features.

I much prefer Alfred's user interface, but that could just be me.

Does Alfred file name search include Library, user Library and other such hidden places?
Can it be made to do so easily?
I'm using Find Any File and FastScripts now, along w Spotlight to launch the occasional App, and don't see how Alfred can beat that combination.

It does not search those areas by default, but you can make a Workflow that will do what you want. See this.
