Dear Mac Pro users,

I came across the 1TB SATA Hard Disk Drive Kit for Mac Pro on the Apple Shop, and it's going for $300. Is there something really special about this hard disk? The reason I ask is because 1TB HDD generally go for under $100 only. Is there any reason why the Apple hard disk cost three times as much? Am I missing something here?

Thanks!

Seems to be a normal HD, just "small" Apple tax. AFAIK, normal HDs work fine, maybe that's RAID edition or something
