I love my iPhone 14 Pro. I enjoy the latest and greatest features including the extremely unbelievably good camera and extremely useful Dynamic Island.

I rarely used my camera but after getting iPhone 14 Pro I enjoy taking pictures because they're so beautiful.

Dynamic Island is like a "status update" for you iPhone. It lets you know where you are and gives you an easy way to control and get back to it (if that makes sense).

BUT

The most UNDERRATED feature is wireless charging IMO. I used to enjoy it very much with previous iPhones but lost my wireless charger and never cared to buy a new one. Well I found it not too long ago and I'm really enjoying this feature. Wireless charger is literally amazing. You keep it on your desk while you do other things and like magic it's charged.

Software support which is extremely consumer friendly. I am still shocked that such an “anti-consumer” firm as Apple has dragged the 6S and SE from 2015/16 to 2022 when phones are supposed to be throwaway objects that are constantly replaced.

When I first really started using the MacRumors forums, I saw people still using these ancient devices and thinking they were crazy because I religiously updated once every 2 years. So I was there with my 12 Mini scoffing at people still using the 6S, SE and 7 not realising that those phones were completely useable as smartphones in 2022. That inspired me to pick up a brand new old stock SE1 and use it as my daily driver. Now I have no desire to update to the “latest and greatest” because I know that the older phones can still do 99% of what the newer phones can do.

Where did you get that from?

I got it on eBay UK around 8 months ago. It was an online retailer that had purchased a stack of 16 new old stock SE’s from a mainline carrier shop for cheap and were selling them for £100. I was lucky I got the last one because they are so expensive to get new now.

The Photos app is very good and a little taken-for-granted in my view. I've synced a large library will all sorts of different photo formats across many different devices/OSes over the years, and it's always been rock solid and reliable. The editing tools are great and the different ways of browsing photos are attractively presented and useful. The ML auto-curation and object/person recognition is behind Google Photos, but it's got progressively better over the years.

Honourable mention - being able to copy and paste text between my phone and laptop.

I’m still very fond of Live Photos. It makes every picture I take like one of the paintings on the wall in Harry Potter.

Personally I’ve never been a fan of wireless charging. I just don’t see the point. I’d rather actually plug a charger in and put the phone where I like. My battery lasts all day without charging so wireless charging would make no sense for me. Glad you like it though!
