What is the native temp of a cinema display?

I am still trying to figure out where the problem is.
I use a gretagmacbeth eye 1 d2 calibration system
I am calibrating a 30" Apple cinema which only has brightness adjustment.
I am using the the advanced mode.
I enter Native for temp, 2.2 gamma, 120 LUm.s
I adjust the brightness, then when it comes back with the actual calibration I get about 11K for the temp.. which seems way too high??
I was hoping for no more than 7K..
Is this normal?
I don't know where the problem is, in the monitor or my laptop.
I just had a new Logic video card replaced in it.
any thoughts?

The native temp of a 30" Cinema is 6479 °K.

I don't know if I can believe my readings from the puck or the monitor is way off.
Actually it does not look horrible.
So I should see @6500k as a temp reading? I don't.. I wish I could figure this out..]
