I doubt I can tolerate, the thicker heavier 12.9” form factor as a hold and type device like I do with the 11” Pro now. And the XDR 12.9” will be even thicker and heavier. I ordered it anyways I can’t Turn down the AppleCard deal and trade in value $455 to me for a 2.5” year old 2018 64GB 11” Pro it’s generous on Apples part can’t turn it down.

Fast forward to 2022 the new 11” and 12.9” iPad Pros are out. I want the 11” with M3 CPU and XDR display what would you all estimate I can trade in my 2021 XDR iPad Pro in for the new XDR 11” model ?
Will I have to pay much ? Estimating prices stay the same.

My 12.9” XDR Pro is a base model non cellular 128GB.

Just wondering that’s my plan enjoy the 12.9” XDR Pro for a year, and pay little to nothing for a 2022 XDR iPad Pro 11” in 2022

(P.S. my sneaky suspicion in that Apple won’t bring the XDR display down to the 11” model)

Seriously, just wait for your iPad Pro to arrive before thinking about this.

I like the part about M3 the most.
There is no way telling if, when and in what shape and form and name "M3" will be released and into which devices it would be implemented.
Yet people go round and round fantasizing what IPad or Mac they will be getting in year 2069 while holding off buying current AS Mac lineup.

It sound like youve ordered a device you didn't want or need. The offer of $455 isn't really that great if it's a device that works for you in a size your happy with(and it's paid for) - why not just keep it until it stops working? Or just wait a year for the 2022 11". 🤷‍♂️

Why bother even buying one now??

It sounds like for your use, a 12.9 is too big and uncomfortable.

Just wait until 2022, doesn't sound like you need the new specs over your 2018.

Who said the iPad Pro line will get refreshed in 2022, remember the chip shortage will be effecting the iPad line, I wouldn’t be surprised if this generation may be in place until 2023…

Seriously though your thinking about a future purchase of an item that there is literally no leaks or rumours about, and is wayyyyy far into the future, who’s to say apple don’t discontinue the 11” pro in favour of a larger than 12.9” pro… we just simply don’t know which way apple are going to take the iPad in the future, I would just enjoy your 12.9 for the next 1.5-2 years, and when the time comes see if you actually still want an 11”, you might find you have preferred the 12.9” by then.

At least fall 2022 sounds very plausible

I need it to play and stream Diablo Immortal. I’m gonna be the #1 XDR iPad Pro game streamer on Twitch
