Siege Tanks in critical numbers can one shot large clumps of units, and they require no micro.

I disagree with most of your post, but this is by far its weakest point in my opinion. Siege Tanks are very micro intensive. You have to siege and unsiege them to get somewhere after all. And during fights you have to unsiege and move forward with individual tanks and not all of them. If your Siege Tanks are caught unsieged your entire army can be gone within seconds.

Personally I play Zerg because I like the mechanics, and would say the game is balanced pretty good. There are games where I'm being dominated the whole time, and others where I dominate my oponent. Scouting and good macro helps a great deal, but there is always a bit of luck involved too.

I'm a Protoss player since I like their units. Having good micro skills definitely help as well as knowing the most efficient build orders and how to get your economy going steady. Against an average player these skills will give you a huge advantage.

In the end, it's a lot about scouting and knowing what your opponent is doing and coming up with an effective counter. If you have cloaked guys and they have no detectors it's pretty much over and "gg" from there on.

I like getting a mother ship and recalling my ground army behind enemy lines. It's really funny, throw in some Dark Templars and it's over before it starts.

On another note, I just got the i7 13" MBP and it runs SC2 very well despite just having the Intel graphics. On default (medium) settings its very smooth. Very satisfied.
