I'm a registered nurse in a very busy trauma I hospital. I use my pebble all the time to quickly see who texted, emailed, called me etc. without having to pull away and take the phone out of my pocket. If I'm in the middle of doing something it is "infinitely useful" and I really can't explain how conveinent it is.

Edit: the point is I will use the apple watch exactly the same but I feel it will be more reliable and the ability to take action on these notifications is awesome

I have three use cases;

1. Standing at football and getting goal updates from other games without having to constantly pull my phone out

2. Being able to get in contact with my wife by tapping her on the wrist rather than getting the usual "oh my phone was on silent/in my bag/downstairs/etc"

3. Telling the time

One of the major use cases is simply to look good on your wrist.

I'm Deaf too (hello from UK!) be interesting to see what kind of effect the watch will when using sign language. Would it keep turning the watch on and off.

Just having an image in my head that my watch keep flashing when I i use sign language!

I'm just going to let it flash, lol, maybe it will attract more customers :)

I'm probably going to be getting the Apple Watch. :cool:

But is anyone else having a problem trying to justify why they need it ?

I've just watched the iPhone introduction video from 2007 and it is clear why you wanted that device. It had an iPod built in, it was an amazing phone with things like Visual Voicemail etc. and it even let you surf the web with a proper browser etc. I could go on.....

But what does the Watch give us in reality ? I can't see it giving me anything above what the iPhone already gives me ? and you have to have the iPhone in your pocket anyway..

Don't get me wrong - I tend to buy Apple products and will probably get the Apple Watch to try it out - but anyone else feel this way ?

Or am I missing the point somewhere ? :)

Dude, you can take or make a call on your frickin watch! It doesn't get any more James Bond than that! All I need now is an Aston Martin, a Walther PPK, and I'm set! ;) :cool:

Simple, I am buying one because I want one. Ever since I saw it in Sept 2014 I decided I wanted one, so now I've bought one. Had the same watch for the last 10 years (basic Casio job), so think I deserve an upgrade.
