It's clear from these comments that people don't realize how nice the mountains are in Idaho. The skiing is better than Colorado with half the people at half the price. I've never been to Eastern Idaho, but the fact Rexburg is so close to Yellowstone sounds like a good thing to me. Enjoy the great outdoors!

Idaho is a sweet place.

Been there a few times. Sun Valley is really nice. Great skiing and boarding in the winter, and wonderful hiking and mountain biking in the summer. You can go fly fishing, rafting, camping, rock climbing, hunting...just about anything out doors.

Its my kind of state. Beautiful mountains, hearty food (potatoes and steak), fly fishing....

I've been to parts of it. Great places to go camping, dirtbiking, skiing/snowboarding, snowmobiling, etc. There are some really nice lakes there too. (Coeur D'Alene, Priest Lake, to name a couple) If you want the great outdoors, you found it.
