You'd think it would just say "Verizon". When I roamed on ROGERS in Canada, it said ROGERS. Carriers are odd.

Old thread, but yeah. I think in Sprint's case though it's a matter of self-preservation. At one point roaming on Verizon was faster than good signal on Sprint.
