Noticed this for the first time today when I ran EveryTrail Pro. I have not noticed it in any other apps yet. Anyone know what this additional icon right up against the WiFi icon is?

Did you look on their website?

    From their FAQ:

Actually now that I look at your pic it's not next to the battery indicator. But I think it's GPS.

Yes, that icon (the arrowhead) is visible on the top right hand corner of the screenshot, however, it is not the icon OP was asking about. OP was asking about the icon next to the WiFi icon.

Must be Photoshopped. Either that, or SkyNet is finally becoming self-aware.

Other GPS enabled apps do not display this same icon. Just the arrowhead close to the battery.

I'm not 100% but I would be surprised if it was. It's just a route tracker for workouts and stuff.

also, if I open Navico (Japan Navigation Program) or Maps, I do not get that icon, only the arrowhead.

Yes, I read the post :p

I didn't know if an app could use their own indicator to show GPS rather than Apple's arrow for "Location Services". It looks like a little satellite to me, but who knows.

    GPS signal strength indicator

in the app, goto: more/settings/GPS Settings. Scroll down and you will see the toggle for the signal.

Nice, thanks man. I wish more programs incorporated something like that.
