Little Snitch has been warning me about this, but I'm not sure if this should be trusted or not?
Do you distrust your own system?
I'm looking for answers, can this be trusted? I've never seen this before
Its part of the OS, and so I'd not do anything with it.
It likely has something to do with certificates, that’s what trust typically refers to and that is also what what entrusted.net is about. Unless you disabled System Integrity Protection, /usr/libexec is exclusively system-owned and meant for internal libraries. You should not interfere with it.
I've been seeing this constantly with Little Snitch but only since installing Mac OS Sierra a couple days ago.
I likewise assumed that it is a part of Sierra's security system, so I just let such requests pass through.
