What is true 4G? And why doesn't the iPhone have it?

    From what I understand, the only carrier with what actually technically qualifies as 4G is Sprint, aka their WiMax network. Is this correct, or a misconception?

    true 4g is LTE or wimax 2.0. HSPA+ is just faster 3g.

    Don't have it because

    Battery life with LTE is not where Steve wants it...and AT&T is not very far along in its deployment.

    Moreover, Sprint uses Wimax, while T and VZ are on LTE.
