what is unibody

    I have a previous model 15.4" MacBook Pro. I'm wondering if it's the so called unibody macbook pro. and what is the the unibody?? thx!:confused:

    Unibody refers to the newest MB and MBPs. It means the entire bottom of the notebook is one solid piece of metal.

    The unibody MacBooks/MacBook Pros are the one that have no latch, and are the "new" models, with black keys. Any aluminum body model with black, single keys instead of a big keyboard together. It's an advanced new architecture which Apple hollowed out an aluminum block to be the top housing on the keyboard module.

    Yes, with the exception of the battery cover.
