I used Fitbit for years. I really liked their products but the reliability was a concern for me also. I found that I was replacing my device every 12-18 months whether I wanted to or not as they would break. But to be fair, I know other people who currently have ancient Fitbit devices that are still running. Maybe I had super bad luck.

Then so did I. And a couple of friends. Complaints about Fitbit products are widespread across the internet. I had their very first tracker. The one that you clipped onto your pants. It broke after a couple of years and they replaced it without question or even requiring that I return the defective one. They were a small company trying to make a name for themselves back then. Now they are huge and they sell crap. One thing that they have going for them is that their marketing is fantastic.
