Whenever I'm looking at some computer somebody built, or case designs on the internet, or anything, it always strikes me as odd that the cases feature a TON of LEDs lighting up the case.

It isnt just some PC users, but most of them LOVE this and think it makes their computer look amazing.... whats the deal?

Is there any scientific explanation for this?

"OMG PUT 4 MORE LEDS ON IT, YOUR COMPUTER WILL GO MUCH FASTER"

That seems to be a gauge of speed now, how many LEDs are on the case.

=\

Anybody else notice this or is it just me?

I think it's the same sort of people who like to put those annoying neon tubes and whatnot on the underside of their cars, or act like they're big tough racers because they saw The Fast and the Furious one too many times.

u mean Fast and the Furious - Tokyo Drift isnt the best movie ever?

Don't forget the rear spoilers/airfoils that are big enough to stabilize and land a jumbo jet.

Or the mufflers....

My roommate freshmen year at college had a computer like that. I ended up covering it with tons of post-it notes so I could get to sleep at at night.

Mmmm...blinky things...:D

Ditto, it's nothing to be ashamed of, people like shiny/blinky objects. Are you gonna tell me you didn't swoon over the back of your iPod when you first got it?

Stop hating on shiny things!:p

There are some birds and small rodent sized animals with brains smaller than a walnut which also like bright shiny things ...
