My button 3 the two either side are set to Exposé All Windows and Button 4 middle click is set to Dashboard.

What do you have yours set to?

i have button 3 set to Exposé all windows, button 4 set to Spaces and just hit F12 for Dashboard.

i love having Exposé set for the scrollball. when im using Windows i always find myself pressing the scroller and expect all the windows to go flying out 😀

Mouse 3 is set to "button 3". I use it in Safari to open links in a new tab, amongst other things.

Mouse 4 is set to nothing, because I used to trigger that thing by accident every time. It was driving me nuts. (Yes, I'm using a Mighty Mouse)

Button 3 is set to ...err.... 'button 3' 😉

Button 4 is set to Expose - all windows

Back before I got my Mighty Mouse, I was using a 6-button rodent, and 4 was set to Expose - show desktop, 5 to Expose all windows, 6 to Expose - application windows.

I don't have those on my touchpad, do I??

I love my touchpad, with 2 fingered scrolling!!

Button 1 = Left Click
Button 2 = Right Click
Button 3 = Dashboard
Button 4 = Expose all Windows
Button 5 = Browser Forward
Button 6 = Browser Backward
Button 7 = Expose Desktop
Scroll Wheel 1 = Scroll up/down & left / right
Scroll Wheel 2 = Volume Up / Down

🙂

what mouse are you using?

what mouse are you using?
Logitech MX Revolution. I consider five buttons the minimum acceptable on Windows, to have forward / backward buttons. And with Apple's Expose and Dashboard features, I think that contrary to Apple's aesthetics, even more buttons are better.

And unfortunately the Apple mouse is only a four button mouse (left, right, ball, squeeze), so it's not a good solution for me.
